Special Newsletter: Teen Services!

|

We are so excited to expand our teen reproductive health services and the
launch of our comprehensive sex education course. We’ve had families ask
for years for DAL to offer developmentally appropriate, affirming, medically
accurate care and education for teens. And now, we’re ready to introduce
these services and classes to our community!

These services are rooted in trust, consent, body literacy, and respect,
supporting teens and their caregivers through some of the most formative
years of life. This special newsletter is all about our teen services and has
important information, a request for community input, and how to register for
our Open House events on 1/21/26 and 1/25/26.

Our first cohort is expected to begin in mid-February. This first group will pilot
the program and provide feedback to DAL on how to improve the course. We
will be offering a discounted rate for our first cohort members, but space is
limited to 10-15 participants. This first cohort will be geared towards ages 13-18.
If there is significant interest, we have the opportunity to adjust cohort
ages to better fit our community’s needs and explore other types of
comprehensive sex education courses. We are exploring options for
developmentally appropriate reproductive education for those under 13 and a
companion parent course to help you feel confident in navigating these
conversations.

We can’t wait to welcome your teen to Dar a Luz as they begin their
reproductive health journeys!
