Closing 2025 With Gratitude for Our Community

|

As we come to the close of 2025, we find ourselves holding so much—grief and
gratitude, endings and beginnings, reflection and resolve.

This year asked a great deal of Dar a Luz. We honored nearly 15 years of birth-
centered care and witnessed our final birth at the center, a moment that will forever
live in our hearts. We also listened deeply to what our community continues to need
from us now and in the years ahead. From that listening came change, courage, and
a renewed commitment to serve women and people with uteruses through
comprehensive, compassionate health care—especially at moments of vulnerability.

And through every transition this year, one thing remained constant: the unwavering
support of our community. Your presence—whether through donations, advocacy,
volunteering, showing up to events, or simply believing in this work—has sustained
Dar a Luz in moments of both heartbreak and hope. We truly could not have
navigated this year without you.

While birth has been our legacy, care has always been our mission. In 2025, that
mission expanded: into deeper mental health support, into new services, and into a
future that allows Dar a Luz to continue showing up for our community in meaningful
and sustainable ways.

As we approach the end of the year, we invite you to be part of this next chapter.
End-of-year gifts are critical in helping us bridge the gap between where we are and
where we are going by supporting program expansion, provider training, and access
to care for those who need it most. Your generosity ensures that Dar a Luz remains a
place of safety, trust, and healing.

If Dar a Luz has ever held you, supported you, or mattered to you—or if you believe
in the importance of community-rooted, women-led health care—we hope you’ll
consider making a gift before December 31st.

From all of us at Dar a Luz: thank you. Thank you for your trust, your generosity, and
your belief in what is possible when care is led by community.

With deep gratitude,
The Dar a Luz Team
